ARE TABLES AND CHAIRS PROVIDED?

Yes. We have twenty 72” round tables that seat  up to 12 people each. We also have banquet tables in six- and eight-foot lengths. There are 360 white padded folding chairs.


WHERE DO I GET LINENS & DINNERWARE?

Wendy, the Sweet Buffet Lady, has a vast inventory of items at very reasonable prices. Rental delivery and pick-up to/from Green Gates is complementary.


IS THERE STAFF ONSITE DURING THE EVENT?

Yes. Green Gates staff members are available the entire time of your event. We are facility coordinators only, not wedding planners. We do assist with set-up and tear-down.

 


Yes. Thursdays are reserved for rehearsals and each group will have a one-hour time slot. We cannot accommodate a rehearsal dinner, but we can recommend many great restaurants in the area which can. No alcohol is allowed at the rehearsal.

IS A REHEARSAL INCLUDED?


Green Gates offers a generous rental period beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10:00 p.m. on Sunday which encompasses all set up and tear-down. We do not permit items to be stored, dropped off, or set up prior to the day of the event.

CAN I DROP OFF ITEMS OR SET UP/DECORATE IN ADVANCE OF MY DATE? 


We are on site during your event to assist you with set-up and tear-down. Our expectation is that you and/or your helpers will work to ensure that the venue is left in the same neat and tidy condition as it was when you arrived, and that you will take everything you brought in. You and/or your helpers will need to clear everything off the tables at the end of the evening.

Venue staff will take care of:

§  setting up and putting away the ceremony chairs

§  putting away the chairs in the reception area

§  setting up and putting away the round tables in the reception area

§  vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping

§  emptying garbage & recycling

§  cleaning the restrooms

WHAT KIND OF CLEAN-UP AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR?


Reservations end at 11:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 10:00 p.m. on Sundays. All tear-down and clean-up must be completed and everyone departed by that time.

WHAT IS THE LATEST WE CAN STAY?


No, with the exception of the DJs. The vendors on our preferred list have earned their status by consistently demonstrating quality customer service. We highly recommend any and all of them, but you are free to hire the vendors of your choice. If you plan to employ the services of a DJ, you must choose from our list of approved DJs.

AM I REQUIRED TO USE YOUR PREFERRED VENDORS?


Green Gates offers free off-street parking for approximately 100 cars. We encourage carpooling and the use of shuttle services.

HOW MUCH PARKING IS AVAILABLE?


Because of the safety issues and/or the mess they create, we do not allow rice, birdseed, foil/tinsel confetti or streamers, or anything involving fire (fireworks, sparklers, floating lanterns). Glow sticks/wands, colored ribbons on sticks, and bubbles are allowed. Contact us for approval if you have other ideas.

WHAT CAN I USE FOR THE SEND-OFF?


No. The bartender bears the huge responsibility of monitoring the distribution of the alcohol at your event.  Anyone can become a “licensed bartender” by taking a quick online course. We require a third-party professional bartender who not only possesses a current Washington State class-12 alcohol serving permit but who also has liability insurance. We do not allow guests to self-serve alcohol, or friends/family acting as bartender, even if they are licensed. The bartender cannot be a guest at your wedding or consume alcohol during your event. Green Gates will not tolerate irresponsible bartenders, and we will diligently enforce our alcohol regulations.

CAN I HAVE A FRIEND DO THE BARTENDING?


Beer, Wine, and Champagne only. No hard alcohol is allowed anywhere on the property. The maximum service time is five (5) hours.
